We Will Always Love You, Hinky Punk

Last night, we very suddenly lost our wonderful mama Hinky Punk. She was our first cat together and if you were lucky enough to get to meet her, you know just how wonderful of a cat she was. If all cats were like her, everyone in the world would have a cat.

She loved everything and everyone, self-designating herself as the household mama. One of her favorite things in the world was belly rubs, but she loathed closed doors. She helped raise and foster kittens and made everyone feel at home. She was one of the most intuitive cats I have ever come across and always came to comfort you if you were sick, upset, or angry.

She had been going through some mystery health problems lately, but she just had a good check up at the vet (which she loved visiting to get to see everyone and ride in the car) and was still loving her treats of turkey meat. I don't even think she realized she was leaving us.

We were just lucky enough to launch our own non-profit the other day, and that was all started in no small part by Hinky Punk and her wonderful personality and her amount of love that she gave. Going forward, I'm going to do my absolute best to make her proud and put as much love in it as she would have wanted me to.

I'm still not sure how life is going to work properly with Hinky Punk. She was such a fixture and integral part of our lives for the past five and half years. It's going to take a while to come to terms of a day without her loud purr and begging to be held and loved on. I love you Hinky Punk, and I'll miss you every day for the rest of my life.
