“A heart filled with love is like a phoenix that no cage can imprison.”

How Our Story Began
It started with one adopted from the Georgia Humane Society (Hinky Punk). Then we found a tiny one-eyed four week old kitten in a Wal-Mart parking lot (Will-o-Wisp). From then on, hungry, sick, and tiny cats have been finding their way into our care. After nursing them back to health, they become ready to find a loving forever family.
Since there are so many abandoned cats and kittens that are just left to fend for themselves or colonies that have been unintentionally overrun with constant litters, we saw a need to reach out to our local communities and help fund Trap, Neuter, Return efforts. The more cats that we can provide with baby-free lives means less overcrowding in shelters and better feline-human relations.
We aim to provide a sanctuary for cats that are deemed unadoptable and a safe transition house for those who need rescue before adoption, with a focus on spay and neuter outreach.

Our Patron Saints
Saint Gertrude of Nivelles
The patron saint of Nivelles, Gertrude is also the patron of travelers and gardeners and is invoked against mental illness, rats, and mice. Since the 1980s, she has become the unofficial patroness of cats, perhaps because of her association with rodents.
Saint Amelia
Patroness of farmers and fishermen. A legend says that she crossed the Scheldt River standing on the back of a fish and she is sometimes depicted standing on the back of a fish with a staff in one hand and a bible in the other. She is invoked for problems with the arms and shoulders.
